Bengaluru-based space startup Vyomspace has successfully launched India’s first private lunar lander “ChandraX” aboard a GSLV Mark III rocket. The lander is scheduled to touch down near the lunar south pole, carrying instruments for mineral analysis, thermal mapping, and dust particle imaging. It also carries a payload from a Japanese university. This mission is seen as a major step in India’s private space sector development, with future plans for lunar rovers and asteroid exploration. ISRO has provided ground support for mission operations.
